Okay thats not an answer you are seeking...

The book is about what if thru evolution primates were to become the dominant species and human were the sub speices (the reverse of what is normal now with apes and humans).

In the story you don't know when the story is taking place, is it in the past? Is it a different planet? Is it a parrell universe?

Suprise! Its right here in the good old USA just in the future!
