The Intel Core 2 Duo's are the best processors on the market at this time. Get one of them.

Intel's Core 2 Duo, processors are currently the best available. the Intel Conroe Core™ 2 Extreme X6800 is the best available. it has 2 cores each running at 2.93Ghz. However if you can wait (and have lots of money) Intel is about to release a quad core version of this processor in about November or December. if your looking for a good CPU but your on a budget look at buying an AMD Athlon 64 Processor. If you want a proper comparison of performance of these processors use this like to compare them http://tomshardware.co.uk/cpu/charts.html
