I think my friend is dead, i can't reach his familly or any friends, i think he died in a car accident in 2004.

I'm sorry you think your friend might have passsed away.... you could try the archives of his local newspaper... if it has a search engine try car crash....
I hope you're wrong though!

if you know where your friend lived then you can check that local papers archives. you can always contact that local medical examiners office..it's public record
