The real question should be "Why do I allow my husband, who disrespects me, to come back constantly to drink and do whatever he wants?"
Sorry I can't sugarcoat it, but the answer to your question is just too obvious.

Why are you letting this happen? If he's coming back and drinking and doing" whatever he wants" you are obviously allowing this to happen. Put your foot down...it is your home,too and you should have some say in what goes on there. If things are really bad and he's abusive seek help. You can gio to Alanon which is for families of alcoholics and they can help you deal with him and his drinking. Also maybe you should get some legal advise as well....there are legal aid offices in every state. It's time for you to take care of yourself and stop letting him and his actions ruin your life.

Because he is selfish. Kick his rear out of the house.
Next time he leaves, change the locks, get a restraining order and tell him if he wants to be part of your life, join AA and grow the heck up. You deserve a real man not some male acting like a frat boy.

Maybe because he was kicked out by his women outside so he needs to "come home" or else he will be homeless.
