Do you think he would have had any more luck finding Bin Laden, considering he would have had the same resources as are being used? Do you think he would have done anything at all? Do you believe Saddam Hussein would still be in power in Iraq? Would Gore have made him pay for his crimes against humanity, or done nothing? Clinton did nothing, so would Gore have followed suit?

Lots of interesting answers. By retrospect, feel free to add what you think John Kerry would have done, had he been elected in 2004 to bring a satisfactory end to these events. What would YOU do if you were the leader of this country?

You might not have noticed, but Al Gore talks the talk, but never walks the walk. He would have done nothing but talk. Saddam would still be there and we would have a much higher death toll than what has occured in Iraq. The casualties would be Ammerican citizens as well as military personnel and would be here on American soil. We would be in an economic disaster as well. The destruction and pain in our lives is nearly unimaginable. Please be careful with your vote.

Well since George and Dick was selected the first election by the Supreme Court. I guess we will never know for sure.
To Say Clinton did nothing is not true. simply not true. He tried on several occasions to have Osama taken out or captured.
I don't think we would have invaded Iraq in the manner we did. I think Mr. Gore would of paid attention and prevented the plane hitting the Pentagon. We had a chance to shoot it down, but needed presidential consent from the President or Vice President. They could not be reached, at the time no one knew where they were. So all the lives on the ground at the Pentagon were lost too.
I don't know what Al Gore would of done. But I think we should of stayed after Osama Bin Laden. We would have him now.
Letting some rebels in N. Afghanistan try to get him was a big mistake. Our foreign policy is at it's all time lowest. We have a corrupt Congress, and a President with good intentions, but a poor record of decision making. All the Criticizing towards the President, as for that his job performance goes, creates this Where is your criteria supporting Clinton did nothing. I believe in Kosovo he did something. He helped stablize the region. Did not lose one American Soldier. Noticed I said helped? He had Nato and other countries involved. I think Al would of taken this approach instead of going it alone. And you can say we have allies with us, and we do, but the numbers are very small compared to the Amercans there. We are basically taking this thing on alone. I never saw Al scratch his head, wondering what to do. You see George doing everytime a crisis happens. Duh!!!!!

About 9/11? Probably would send a couple of rockets into another Afgan candy factory, and proudly say "The retaliation is complete!"
Not only would Sadam be in power - he would be stronger then ever!
Gore would also try to talk to Bin Laden, and try to talk him into peace.

Al Gore would have paid the terrorists and thanked them. He would have told them "We were going to down those buildings anyway." He's a coward.

No, he would not have even gone looking for Bin Laden.

I think Clinton and Gore were patient and smart enough to weigh the consequences, Saddam in Power on one side, someone who never did any direct harm to any westerner or an Iran without Saddam bugging them to concentrate on the nuclear bomb, mind you Iran has always said it hates the west. Plus of course, without Saddam religious extremism which really threatens the whole basis of free societies, is thriving in Iraq now. I think if need be, they would have acted but the big picture in mind.

I was going to point out Clinton's response to the USS Cole - but looks like someone beat me to it. Another example would be Clinton's response to the first World Trade Center bombing in 1993. Gore would do just what Clinton did in these two instances - nothing.

Same thing President Clinton did in retaliation for the USS Cole.

He would'nt have done anything about it because it would have never happened. A growing number of the American and world population believe Bush had something to do with 9/11 ;) I'm one of those people.

He would have lectured about it's affects on global warming and made Saddam sign the Kyoto Treaty.

He would have asked the U.N. to please tell the terrorists that he loves everybody and to please not do that again or he will not invite them to ride his tractor on his "farm" in Tennessee. As for Saddam he would invite him to the White House to dance with Tipper--is her name really Tipper--
