I have this NIC connected to this switch.

NIC: http://www.encore-usa.com/product.php?id=2&lang=
switch: http://netgear.com/Products/Switches/DesktopSwitches/GS605.aspx?

Both are gigabit but the physical link status indicates that it is connected at 100Mbps, not gigabit. The led on the switch should be green if connected at gigabit, but it's orange. On the PC side, the Status of this interface says the speed is 100Mbps.

How can I make it work at 1000Mbps?

No problem in sending and receiving packets. Only the link speed is the issue here.

It could be the cable that you're using. For a gig operation, you need at least Cat5e, preferably Cat6. Cat5 can't handle GB. Even if it says it's Cat5e or Cat6, el cheapo cables may not be able to run GB. A poor construction job at the cable plug, in case you did it yourself, could be the reason too.

Check your NIC settings in Windows. Maybe it's set to 10/100, not 10/100/1000.
