Lets not get into what it was about, but if the guy says something like this while on AIM should I worry? "You see to care to much about what I think. You should let the other person tell you volintarally :-)>" Then we continued with our trivial conversation never once touching the subject again. I just met the guy online on Facebook after not seeing or hearing from him for 13 years. He came back home for three days and I got to see him for an hour. Note that its only been a week and half since we got back in touch. I don't know what I am looking for here. I mean I like him, but right now as a friend. But lets says I wanted more... did I just ruin my chances? Boy, do I let my curiocity get the best of me!

I believe I'm missing a part of the conversation?
Why did you ruin your chances? I can't see why you think that...

First off, if you have only seen each other a few times after a separation of 13 YEARS... what were you trying to do? Freak him out?

I mean really... to start pushing too early in a friendship for a relationship or intimacy of any kind is usually a sign that something is wrong.

Let the friendship or relationship develop slowly, naturally, over time. Do not rush. If you are worried that it "won't last" or that you "have to have someone NOW" then you probably shouldn't even be trying to have a romantic relationship to begin with... you need to first address who you really are first. Until you are sure of yourself and confident in yourself, you don't really need to have a relationship.

If you are comfortable with yourself, you won't have to rush things or worry about what he thinks of you.

It sounds like he was just making a small bit of constructive criticism. Don't worry about it.
