I'm making videos for my class and would like to know if there are any free video etiting programs that are any good. Looking for a little more than the basic that I already have and would like slow motion and black and white effects, etc. Any Ideas?

If you're looking for quality, it would be Adobe Premiere, though it takes a while to learn to use it.

The easiest to use is Windows Movie Maker 2. Not really that good though in terms of quality.

Sony Vegas is also quite easy. And it maintains the quality a bit. You can try that.

the best FREE editing program for the PC is Windows Movie Maker Version 2- it has slow mo and black and white, etc.

If you have a MAC the ivideo program is even better and it is free, (but not free for the PC)

This guy (papajohn) is an expert on Movie Maker
