There are many realistic looking toy puppies or dogs you can buy. My daughter has a playful pup you could borrow - opens & closes it's mouth & eyes, barks etc but no poops so this might be the ideal thing for you as there'd be nothing worse than having to pick up a doggy doo on the tube!

Do you HAVE to have a dog to use the escalator? Is this a new rule? Maybe if you took the word "don't" out of your question, maybe you'd get an answer.

you must be nuts, that sign means that if you have a dog you have to carry it. the dog is NOT allowed to use the escalator the same way a person does.
