In Wierd Al's White & Nerdy video is there some significance of the guy with the black jacket, white shirt and jeans that is dancing with Wierd Al in front of the math equations?

I kinda thought it was just so he had a sidekick who was just as white and nerdy as he... you notice the black guys in the video are a twosome, you know, pals, friends... so that's what I assumed the deal was with his little dancing friend.

I've only seen the video once, so I'm not sure what he's wearing, but Donny Osmond is dancing in the background of some of the video.
