I told my friend's best friend that my friend might need some help and support coz he's going through rough times, a help which I can't provide. I gave no details of what was really going on.
Later on, my friend blew up at me saying that I'm untrustworthy because I spread details of his personal life to others including his best friend. I tried to explain to him that my intentions were NOT evil nor I want to expose his problems to others, but he said he can't belive me.
It's been 3 weeks now since we haven't talked with each other...We had great relationship & I don't want to move on & have regrets later on that I didn't try working it out.

If I was you, I would call him, and try convincing him to talk with you. Then you can explain why you told something, and what exactly you told to this other friend.

By now he maybe realizes that he overreacted and is afraid you are mad at him? Or maybe he is still mad, because he thinks you told a lot more than you did...

On the other side: if I understand it, you talked to his best friend. This friend should have seen himself that something was wrong with his friend, otherwise you wouldn't call them best friends.

Maybe talk to this person too, and ask what exactly he told to the person who is mad at you. Then at least you know all the info, before you try to talk to your friend.

And let him tell him how he feels about it... Try to make him understand you did it because you care, not to hurt him. He should at least understand your intentions weren't bad...

Good luck.
