Thanks everyone so far
for the record you are right i am not going by race or colour although it's good to know what other names are out there. The reason i'm asking for help is that naming a child is one of the hardest things i had to do. We both want something of OUR culture and background in the name.
Our first child was easier as we chose a name that was differnet but also had meaning to it and was not as you say GHETTO.. lol
we dont want a Ghetto name but at the same time do not want a common name.
Thanks for all your input so far
:)

Shamari is cute. It means African Queen.
Shandi means God is Gracious.
Semira means fulfilled.
...with the letter S, it's a little harder. Can the middle name be an S and the first name start with something else?
Well, good luck!

You dont want a ghetto name, or a name other kids can make fun of , or make a stupid nickname out of. Having a ghetto name half the time people dont know how to say it or get the wrong impression or think your ghetto and dont want to hire you.

Shawna or Sean both mean God is gracious. Don't worry on finding a name that is black and white. Just find one that you both like. You could go to babynames.com and look together for a name you like.
