you don't just need extra cash--once you get through the wedding you will have a whole new set of finances to consider--especially if and when you decide to have children. if you need more income now, you will need it later!

First of all, you and your fiancee need to decide how much money it is that you are going to need, or a budget for the wedding, as well as how long you have to save. Keep in mind whenever you reserve a place for a wedding or a reception you often have to make deposits. Is it going to be a small wedding at a church you already attend with no or a small reception? Okay, so you need less money. Is it going to be on the Big Island with five bridesmaids and groomsmen and the whole family? You'll need to either hock a kidney or work a lot harder for more money.
A great suggestion is a part-time job. But before that, create a budget (if you don't already have one) to make sure you are saving as much money as you can that you already make! Consider having a transfer made out of your paycheck into a savings account every month, $25, $50, $100? The more the better, but make sure you can afford it first. If you are truly disciplined enough to do this, you will never know the money isn't there.
Another option is to take out a personal loan or line of credit. Some people might not suggest this, but they can really help in a time of need. If you have a house, you might even qualify for a home equity loan.
Good luck and congrats on the engagement!

Tough question- Consider a part time job for a few months- that could help- also, make don't feel compelled to have a big elaborate wedding. A simple service is just as nice.

Save, save, save. Cut out extra items that aren't necessities. Get a second job if possible.

auction unused stuff on ebay, find a part time job, ask your current employer for more hours or hire friends to do most of the wedding work. Ex. dj's, flower arrangements, etc
