I love Happy by Clinique. They have a couple different Happy's, Happy, Happy Heart, and I think there is one more. I prefer the plain Happy. It is very light and floral. I get a ton of compliments on it. If you ask at the Clinique counter they will give you a sample vile.

I have 3 that I like, 1 for everyday - Avon Soft Musk; 1 for going out and partying - CK One; and 1 for special occasions - Yves Saint Laurent Paris. They are all special in their own ways. I like the way the Avon smells on me, not too musky, like you need to have a shower, just lightly pleasant. I like the citrusy scent of the CK One and how it will last through a night of partying. Then the YSL Paris smells sophisticated without being overpowering.
But these are the way they work on MY body. You have to go and try out what is right for you. The perfume out of a single bottle may smell great on you but may stink on your friend. Everybody's body chemistry is different.
Good luck!

I am not a big fan of heavy or musky perfumes either. I prefer simple, single note scents. Most of the time I wear Tunesian Amber which is quite literally amber resin liquified again. It has a delightful scent and the tiniest dab will last all day.

I'm not wearing this again yet, because to me it smells kind of "wintery"....but I LOVE Gucci, Envy Me. I don't think it's heavy, and it's definitely NOT musky....sort of flowery/powdery (not like baby powder)...I can't explain it, but I love the scent...check it out!

For the fall I am wearing Eternity Moment, I also love Clinique Happy Heart (light scent for fall or spring) spring time I like Ralph Lauren Romance, but I think next year I'll get Sarah Jessica Parker's 'Lovely', and in the summer, I love plain ole Ralph Lauren! There are SO many fragrances to choose from, though!

I love the Ralph Lauren sport perfume. It smells great, isn't too heavy, more girly scented. It's just the perfect scent to go just about anywhere!! If you want something cheaper, I'd go with Dream Angels at Victoria's secret, it smells great and is affordable!

Krizia is amazing. It's Italian, I found it at Nordstroms. It's very light and a little hint of spicy vanilla. It's kind of pricey.

I also like the brown sugar & fig from bath body works, I get tons of compliments on that.

There are tons of perfumes...you must have, at least, 3. Go and try them first. Always have the one everybody compliments you about. When you have a boyfriend use one to go anywhere, one for special occasions, like parties, and one, the best, for love, he will go crazy for you.
