I have heard warm milk helps, or you can just go to bed at certain time and stay there untill you fall asleep.. I do that alot when I have to work in the morning and I need to go to bed, but not tired.

That happens to me...A LOT! I find that it's really easy for me to sleep later and later, but not the other way around. The only thing that works for me is to stay up ALL night, until you go to bed at a decent hour (try to make it until 8pm or so) so you can wake up refreshed the next day...which would resume your normal day. If you don't think you can stay awake long enough to get back onto a normal sleep cycle, get a prescription for Ambien. I had insomnia a few years ago, and two 10mg pills knocked me out. Over-the-counter pills seem to have no effect on my body, and they make me feel groggy the next day...unlike Ambien. Good luck to you, and I hope I explained this well enough!

lol. that's funny cause those are my sleeping patterns, almost exactly. of course, i like that and want that.

but, my suggestion is to one day, not sleep. at six am, stay up. go about your day, maybe even go for a run. preferably on a day you don't work or anything else. guaranteed you won't even be that tired. then, before a normal bed time of like ten o'clock, workout, take a shower, and make sure you eat alot that day, especially a big dinner. then, you will be tired at ten or eleven and make sure you get rid of any distractions and go to bed. if you have trouble sleeping read or watch a movie in bed. but you must resist any urge to stay up at that point.

Work slowly back into routine habits is all you can really do. However, you don't seem to have that kind of time. Try working back to your regular sleeping schedule, (although you might be quite tired on university days) Good luck.

stay up for 24 hrs (it will not be easy believe me) then plan to go to bed at a certain hour. during the few hours before that appointed time, don't drink any caffeine or sugary drinks, don't eat more than a light snack, and engage in restful activities so your brain can wind down. When you go to bed and you find you cannot sleep, *get up* and go do something relaxing like reading. i hope this helps! good luck at your university.

Look ive gone through the same thing..i even had to go see a doctor..he suscribed pills to me and they worked...but what i found to work best was to work out or run..your body will naturally need the rest and fall back into sleeping habits that your were used to.

Try to force yourself to go to bad at a certain time (using an alarm clock) and when the body has rested for 8hrs try to get up.
Your circadian cycle (bodies internal clock) has changed, changing it back my not be easy but after a couple of days you should be ok. Try to get to bed by 11pm, just for starters.

Hope this helps

Try a massage. Get a Osim Massage Chair. It's really good.
