Possibly. I'd guess that the ability to retain information has to play at least part of that whole intelligence thing. And probably a pretty serious role.
But it can definitely help if you've told a few lies.
I know this because I'm always shooting myself in the foot that way. I'll tell somebody a pack of lies one day to save the time and trouble it always takes to go the truthful route, only to forget all about it a few days later and send myself right up the creek without a paddle by being honest.

Of course! For instance, I can't remember anything at all from my high school math class, and that pretty much, makes me feel the opposite of intelligent at times...lol

Yes, because knowing trivia and facts are sometimes seen as intelligence. If you take an IQ test, they test logic, not trivial answers.
