PO Boxes are valid addresses. Anyone can send a letter to a PO Box. In fact, there are other businesses, like Mailboxes ETC that rent boxes (although I believe they are PMB: Personal Mail Box instead of PO: Post Office)

When I lived at home I used to have a P.O. Box. I had all my porn sent there, it worked out great.

I use a PO Box. I feel safer that way. You can use it as your primary address and all your bills and letters can come there. You have to fill out a change of address form, though.
