SInce when is obscenity supposed to be considered "freedom, expression, art, knowledge and science?
I feel so sorry for our children, growing up in a culture that is willing to sacrifice them to their gods of self...

If you knew the history of the Catholic Church, and you clearly do not, you would know that those "religious freaks" started the first hospitals, the first universities, were first to work on geology, actively supported the arts, painting, sculpture, and even supported Galileo (he met with the Pope and they were friends) until Galileo stubbornly pushed a theory that he could not prove.
Enough with your anti-religious bigotry.

Well, it is quite simple, they are afraid of anything that might expose their ulterior motive of exploiting the blind regious faith of some people, and cannot accept anything that might hurt that motive. If they accept the freedom then they allow people to gain knowledge and then they lose control.

Because it would force them to THINK and consider the world around them. It would be overwhelming for them to think outside the narrow confines of their existence. To them, art, science, etc. is the big bad boogeyman!
