At my school, the teachers are dressing as a decade...and I got the 80's. please tell me if this is 80's enough!
Button-down white shirt w/ black pullover vest, VERY wide red belt, tight spandex (leggings kinda) pants and black and red striped socks that go up to almost my knee. Am I on the right track? Any other suggestions? Sadly, I can't find any leggings!

so far it sounds good. Leave the socks off if you can't find leggings. Untuck the white shirt and let it hang down below the vest. Add a pair of heels to the outfit, black or red to go with the belt and some huge earrings and a necklace the same color (again at least something with red in it) Don't forget the hair.......must be BIG
You could also go another route, with the white shirt and vest. Leave the blouse tucked in and wear a pair of classic 501's. However you must wear the heels and the jewelry should be pretty close to the same.
have fun, check old movies like pretty in pink, the breakfast club, flashdance or footloose.

You need frizzy hair and some huge hoop earrings. Untuck they white shirt and let it hang out of the vest. Leggings with tall boots in an obnoxious color like blue or white would be best. Wear makeup in unnatural colors like blue or pink. Ridiculously huge, smoked shades are also good.

Ah, the good old days. Back when I had hair four inches tall, a pair of black plastic glasses, a denim sport coat, pink shirt, a tie that looked like a keyboard, and some red Chuck Taylor All Stars.

God I'm getting old...

You need to wear some granny boots, a couple long strands of fake pearls, and black lace gloves with the fingers cut off. Make sure you back comb your hair like crazy then tie a ribbon in you hair like a headband and make a big floppy bow. Think, Madonna, on the cover of Desperatley Seeking Susan.

Neon was also very big in the 80's.....also try to find a black hat of some kind, like Debbie Gibson wore. And of course, don't forget to use a curling iron to do the bangs really high!!!!

You're mixing the worst elements from the earliest and later part of that decade. Not to worry--many did that with 70's fashion!

cut the neck off a sweatshirt and expose one shoulder, wear a tank top underneath, wear a short mini skirt, black leggings and ballet flats. your eye makeup should be heavy with black eyeliner and your hair should be big jersey girl style! an oversized purse will complete the look!
