if its a system with a water tank (hot) then check automatic valve by the tank (will look like a grey bow with a wire coming out), if this isnt open, will not allow hot water from boiler thru to heat the tank, if it is not working, pull the small lever on side across and lock it in place, but motor will need replacing,

also check the stat on tank etc.

hope this helps

Most domestic hot water systems are seperate from the heating system. You must determine your type. From your info i would guess you have a separate hot water heater (a large white upright cylinder) that heats up the water on its own. Other systems use the hot water from the boiler to heat a tank of water.
Check your hot water heaters pilot light. It may have to be relit. if it will not stay lit you may need a new thermocouple. Instructions for re-lighting the pilot light are on the tank. You'll need a long match. A new thermocouple is pretty simple to install also. that will be your next question.

coming from the tank there should be a electrical valve the controls the direction of water, to rads or water or to both. Check the valve is working. Also check that the water is turned on on the control unit
