i was the same exact size as you before i got pregnant and i actually did really good with my weight throughout my pregnancy, even my doctor said so but i do have a huge belly. people also think i am farther along than i am. i don't really know why my belly is so big besides the fact that i am pretty short so my torso isn't very long which makes me seem bigger and i'm having a boy so maybe he's just gonna be a big baby. who knows. as long as your just gaining most of the weight in your belly and not all over , then i would say your doing pretty good. i had to deal with everyone thinking i was farther along the whole time i was pregnant so you're not the only one. i am a little over 36 weeks now so thank goodness i'm almost done and won't have to deal with that anymore! people still think i'm farther along now. they say i look like i'm having twins or i'm gonna pop any minute but really i still have a little less than a month left. so anyhow, there's really nothing you can do about all the people saying stuff. i guess the only thing you can do so that you don't gain weight everywhere else on your body is maintain a healthy diet and exercise.

Aw...sorry...I understand your feelings. I am a size 2/3 before pregnant. I am almost 16 week (Saturday) and am still in the 2/3 clothing. I can wear it and no one will notice. With my previous pregnancy, I was not much bigger than now, and was 25 weeks. She was my 8th pregnancy, the current of course, being the 9th. I have always been little, and seldom show before 6 months or later. I'm always told you'll show earlier with consecutive pregnancies...I prove that wrong! :-) and also that thinner people show sooner. Well, I was as small as 93 pounds with the 7th pregnancy and did not show until at least 6 months. My son came 4 weeks early and was a healthy, tiny little guy. Still IS tiny too...LOL!!! But healthy. Don't worry too much about things. Everyone is different....

I know exactly how you feel. I was a size six then I got pregnant with my first child. I gained 60 pounds. I ate healthy and did everything I was suppose to. I never did lose all the weight but I lost majority of it. Now I'm 2 weeks from having my second and I've only gained 30 pounds. Everything will be fine. Good luck :)

The first person that answered retaining "water" is normal and it is not normal as you would be eating to much salt, and this is bad for you because it causes you to have high blood pressure which is dangerous for you and the baby. You shouldn`t eat hardly any salt when you are pregnant or any other time. As to your question, with your first baby you will show earlier than you will with your next pregnancies. If you are eating right, with no significat amounts of salt or sugar, no excessive swelling, getting enough exercise, you should be fine. If the doctor thinks you are looking larger than normal, he/she will discuss this with you. I would go by my weight also, as to how much you have gained. You could be carrying twins also, but that will be determined by an ultra-sound.

Don't worry about it. I was huge at three months too. I, like you, was a size 6 and I felt like I had done something wrong to be so large so soon. But, after my daughter was born, I lost 20 pounds of fluid immediately. Just keep on doing what you are doing and don't worry about what everyone else thinks. You are the one who is blessed with the gift of having a precious little angel.

Well you are going to be mom. These are harmonical changes and you should not worry upon these changes. Everything would become normal very soon. I would suggest, eat properly and sleep proplerly. This is all about. Dont forget, you are one of the lucky ones who is going to be called MOM by someone. Its too sweet feeling

It's ok because i had a baby. and i felt the same way. i dosen't have anything to do with you or your baby and how you eat. your baby needs room to grow and eat. that may explain why your stomach is growing so big. i just depends on your body and how it forms. I'm 16 and i went through the same thing.

Yes everyone is different. YOu are normal. I always got really big quick too and people would comment and think I was farther along than I was. Dont worry about it.

is this your first pregnancy? If not you tend to show earlier with each pregnancy, I wouldn't worry about it to much. I am only 5 weeks along and I am huge.

Sometimes smaller women will look bigger faster because you dont have much to your belly to begin with. I wouldn't worry too much about it unless your doctor says different.

Good luck and congrats!
