some say it's not and it basically is the amount of cover up you will get. i was kinda skeptical myself to get bareminerals. but i got it anyway, and it does cover up a lot. it wont cover up EVERYTHING so that you look flawless, but it does cover up a lot of blemishes and stuff. and i honestly gotta say, that my skin does look nicer with it on. just go to bareminerals.com and order it from there cause it's a lot cheaper than to go to the store. and if you dont know what shade then best thing to do is go to the store and try it first and see how you like it and what tone you are and then order it online.

The largest problem with ALL MINERAL makeup from Bare Minerals to the GROCERY STORE brand is the common ingredient BISMUTH which is VERY bad for your skin it is a kin to arsenic and will clog pores and irritate the skin. For example there are severe warning labels on Maybelline minerals and L'oreal as well so to just answer your question NO ITS NOT WORTH IT, when you can either get a good sale or save 36.00 then I recommend bee luscious liquid minerals only because of a few reasons. 1. It does not contain BISMUTH or Talc so its safe for your skin 2. The tube will last between 6-8 months so int he long run its cheaper than the grocery store because it lasts so much longer. 3. Your skin will love it a little goes a long way. I know to some degree it does answer your question only that expensive or cheap if the common ingredient of BISMUTH is in it then its all around bad for your skin stick to what you already wear.

Nope, the ingredients are very different between Bare Minerals and L'Oreal. I used L'Oreal for awhile and I liked the coverage. It is fast and easy to put on. It didn't make me break out or anything. It even stayed on during my workouts.
The only reason I stopped using it is because I am a bleeding heart and they test products on animals (or so I have read.) So I researched a bunch of different mineral makeup brands because I will never go back to liquid foundation EVER. Anyways, I won't use Bare Minerals because of the ingredients. I have sensitive skin and that product has bismuth oxychloride, a by-product of copper and lead refining--it gives makeup that sparkle. BUT it also clogs pores and made my skin REALLY irritated. (I never used Bare Minerals, but a product with similar ingredients) At first I thought it was the brushes but my dermatologist told me it was the bismuth oxychloride itself.
So if animal testing isn't a problem and you don't have sensitive skin. Then either of the products would work for you. I use Everyday Minerals, but there are bunch of good brands out there. That is just the one I liked and now have an extreme loyalty to.

I bought Physicians formula minerals in the Drug Store and have found it to be great. All the Physician's Formula makeup is class A stuff and at a fraction of the price.
All mineral makeup is not created equal. Bare Minerals is the best but it is also the most expense. You can buy small sample portions of Bare Minerals on Ebay and see if you like the product.

They really aren't all the same. I have tried several, including one which was MUCH cheaper that I found on ebay, which clogged my face so badly it was awful, and looked like a mask. The two best that I have found so far are PurMinerals and Bare Minerals. The difference as far as I can see, is that Pur Minerals has shea butter in it to make it a solid in the compact, but not enough to make it oily on the face. I like them both, but Bare Minerals is more pure mineral and less danger to oily skin.

They are certainly not the same. Mineral products are better for people with problamatic skin, like oily skin. The bare mineral products are worth the price I assure you. Th brand Physicians Formula works well. It is not that expensive, too. But if you skin is not oily, then I suggest you stick with your regular routine makeup.
