Go to Add and Remove Programs in Control Panel, make sure "Show Updates' is checked.
You'll then see Windows Internet Explorer 7, thus you can remove it from your system and restore back to IE6

I tried going to the control panel to add/remove programs last night to get my IE6 back but the updates didn't even show! I'm afraid to remove IE7 because it's the only internet program on my computer right now, and if I remove it, how will I be able to connect to download anything else?

i wanted my ie6 back also and when i asked the question on how to get it back i was told to go to add or remove programs in the control panel make sure the show updates is checked and then u will see internet explorer 7 click to remove it and ie6 will be back. i done it and it worked.
