It can be fine for hours then i can be chatting away and i realise i have not been getting peoples replies, so i log out, log back in and messages i should of recieved come up as off liners.....people are getting my messages but i am not always getting theirs while my messenger is on.................It can play around like this for up to an hour at a time and then just start working perfect again until it happens again, i have re-installed software several times but has made no diff to this problem, bt bless their souls are major headache to get hold of best of times........so i just wondered if i,m the only one who has had this problem................as of writing this my messenger has gone down totally......................thanks for any views..........Ja

Well if you haven't known this yahoo is going through issues
as of Nov. 1
CHAT 2 SERVER will be shutting down
so they want everyone if they chat in a chat room to chat in Messenger
ONLY MESSENGER servers will be up
so Nov. 1 will be "booters paradise" on yahoo I would advise not to chat in the chat rooms
They are doing this because there are chat clients out there that you can download and chat via yahoo servers that block that chat ads which is how yahoo makes money when one of the chat ads are clicked.
so they are shutting down chat 2 server and forcing ppl to chat in messenger which don't understand why they are just going to lose customers that way
The answer to your question yeah they are preparing for the chat 2 server shut down which might cause some login servers on messenger to be interruped for awhile but then they will go back to normal

I don't use BT anymore, as you say they are such a nightmare to get in touch with when you need someone to sort out the problem that I moved on to another provider (who are also cheaper) Windows Messenger is more reliable & free there is also Camfrog which free, where you can see and hear many people at a time, this is the link http://www.camfrog.com/

No ive never had this problem with bt communicator, but then again i use windows live messenger. You should maybe download it from microsoft and try using that

I had problems with bt Yahoo mail, apparently there was a problem with yahoo page, error came up when I called for technical help

You should get windows live messenger it is so much better
