But are they pointless? Some are for a good laugh. Why do we answer sarcastically?
There is an inborn need in each of us to bond with others of our race, the internet is the new connection to accomplish that. Ask a question, get a response. See, it works.
Personally I'm bored stiff and all by myself and have no will power to resist and don't want to do what I'm supposed to be doing.

Because all questions no matter how pointless will give you some knowledge.
Knowledge is power! power + a balanced mind = $$$$$$$
Never be afraid to ask a question, it may seem pointless but only an open mind will benefit.

I know some of those questions really "are" pointless, and I have no idea "why" they are asked. But then, there are people who ask questions that appear pointless to you or I, but are "very" important to "them." For "whatever" reason. Some of our questions may seem that way to "them," who knows? But I know the "type" of questions you are referring to, and they not only are pointless, they are almost irritating! Yep, irritating indeed.

I understand, what u mean.
Some questions are really pathetic; but then some people are either bored or lonely. it can be annoying and u r not wrong to have asked this question.
Wherelse, some people just want to be clowns....loose there points, in the process; and make others laugh.
Others r just mean and have no empathy, hence they just want to make themselves feel good;eg questions regarding cruelty to animals.
i hope this makes sense....but who am I....just answering what I think.

because its not pointless to them everyone has a point of view may need an answer whether you agree or disagree they will get the message if you do or don't answer the question
