I remember the show. It always ended with the song "Be Kind To Your Web Footed Friends." Sung to the tune of "Stars and Stripes Forever," it went like this:
Be kind to your web-footed friends
For a duck may be somebody's mother.
Be kind to your friends in the swamp
Where the weather is very, very damp. (pronounced domp)
Now you may think that this is the end
Well, it is!
I remember having an only vinyl record they recorded. In fact, I probably still have it somewhere!

Gosh yes! It was a must see at our house along with Ted Mack Amateur Hour, Lawrence Welk, The Ed Sullivan Show, and Danny Kaye.

Sad to say yes. The things I listened to. Also remember a hot girl dancer on the Welk show that danced with a guy named "Bobby". They were the "younger" dancers.
Better memories with Skitch Henderson on the tonight show first with Steve Allen and later with Johnny Carson.

The opening theme is "Teardrop" by Massive Attack with guest vocals by Liz Fraser. In certain countries other than the US a piece of music composed by Scott Donaldson and Richard Nolan, is used. "Teardrop" itself does have lyrics, however for the opening credits only the beginning and ending sections of the song are used, which contain no lyrics.
