Rockstar have stated very clearly that they have no plans to bring out VCS on the PS2. it's been developed as a PSP game and as such does some stuff the PS2 would have trouble with.
However, I suspect that once it's sold as many as it can on the PSP, they'll reconsider ...

Rockstar games are planning to bring out Vice City Stories on the Playstation2 ! it should be out by the beginning of next year! it will be like when they brought out LIBERTY CITY STORIES on the PSP within 3 months that was on the playstation2!
I cannot wait to play in on the PS2 it looks awsome and with the add-on of usable jetski's to the game it looks to be an awsome and thrilling game!

It will, definitely, just like Liberty City stories did.
Grand Theft Auto hasn't slated a new game (GTA IV) until October 2007, so rest assured Rockstar North will appease it's grubby fans by releasing Vice City Stories somewhere in between now and then to keep their appetite at bay.

Yes i would imagine it will be, expect the same sort of delay from PSP to PS2 though, which i believe was 3 months

rockstar have pointed out that VCS will NOT be in PS2 format.
only PSP.
dammit.
HOWEVER.
we all saw what happened with LCS.
perhaps the same thing will happen.
or they will have another version of it altered slightly to make gaming easier.
