I use Bare Essentials and I love it!!!!!!! I am never going to use a liquid foundation again! My skin looks practically flawless, and it doesn't really even look like I have tons of makeup on.
One tip I have found with my makeup is that even though it is a mineral powder, you should use another powder on top of it to set it. It helps it to stay on better and have a better-looking texture. I use the Bare Essentials Mineral Veil powder. I definitely recommend using a because as someone said in a previous post, it does tend to come off a little bit more easily than some other makeup types.
Also, definitely go to a store where they sell the mineral foundation. You'll want their help to choose your perfect color. I have found the store associates to also be very helpful with eyeshadows, etc. I love all the Bare Minerals eyeshadows! They have great colors.
So go for it!!!!! I'm positive you'll think it is well worth the money!

Bare Essentials is great. I used to work part time at the Bare Essentials store. If you go there, or even to a cosmetic store that sells it such as ULTA, they will put the make up on you so you can see what it is like for free. Always try and test things when you can before you buy them. Everyone has different skin and tones/oils. It is important to buy something that is right and will work for you. Under the bare essentials as a base, rather than foundation, I use a little cover blend by exuviance to cover any imperfections that might not be covered by the mineral powder. If you need any help, just let me know!

I bought it and had problems. I am darker skinned and the first shipment they sent me, was way too light. Then the next order they sent me was too dark! The people on the phone said that they will keep sending me ones until we get the right color. It turns out they have tons of shades that they don't show on the infomercials. It just got to be a nuisance. I said forget it and I gave up after that. That is the problem with buying making from the t.v.! Anyways, it looks like a great product though. Do you have any Sephora stores in your area? The Sephora stores actually sell the Bare Esentuals- Bare Minerals kits and I know that the consultants that work there can help you pick out the right shade. That way you won't have to keep on ordering kits that aren't right. That is what I am going to do and I won't have any problems. I live in St. Louis and we have two Sephora stores. Go to www.sephora.com and search for a store in your area.

I love it!!! It does make the appearance of my face look better when it's on, but it didn't help my acne any like they claim (of course, it didn't make it any worse either). It has great coverage without feeling heavy or greasy, and it's easy to use.
I honestly can say I will NEVER wear anything else - I can't even imagine having greasy liquid on my face all day any more.
All I can say is just try it and see what you think. I wouldn't go through the informercial though. Several stores carry Bare Minerals, including: Bare Escentials (if you're lucky to have one near you - they're the one's who make it), Ulta, and Sephora. You can also get it online at Sephora and QVC.

I liked it because it didn't cause me to break out but it really didn't give me the coverage I needed and since I had oily skin at the time it would "melt" off after a few hours. Try Origins make ups instead, it's a little cheaper and more like traditional makeup but it doesn't have a lot of chemicals like other do. Plus it literally fixed my oily skin problems and I haven't used it in like 2 months, (I ran out and my grandma bought me Mac instead).

I love BE! I do use some MMU from other lines as well. If you want to try before you buy--you can get some nice sample kits from eBay. I got my first 'starter' kit (sample size) from a seller by the name of Janice1024. I don't know if she still sells, but you could also look for colorful sprinkles. I highly recommend both these gals! You could also check other mineral makeup companies. Lots of them do samples very reasonably--however be aware it does take time to 'get the hang' of it. Most people look chalky until they learn to use less. For samples from the companies--try Everyday Minerals, Cory Cosmetics, Mad Minerals...........
Good Luck

Yeah, I liked it. It is light and it doesnt look all caked on. It does wipe off a little bit easy and it is on the expensive side. But if you have the money to try it I say at least try it to see if you really like it. The nice thing for me is that my face brakes out easy and I cant ware a lot of other make-ups but I had no problem with this one at all. Oh and go very easy on the bronzer, it is easy to over bronze your self in bad lighting, lol, trust me I know. :) Good luck I hope you like it!

Tried it and hated it!!! Some people really like the product and it works for them. I used it and was not happy with it at all! QVC has a trial kit that you may want to check out. It is not expensive and if you do not like it you can return it! Good Luck!!! Hope this helps!

I use something similar. Many companies make mineral make up now and can be found in stores like CVS.
Two brands that I have tried and liked are Physicians formula and neutrogena. They are pretty much the same thing and cost alot less.
