You need to reduce the size of the image to do this. You can do this in your paint or imaging in accessories. Use the help session to learn how to do this. When you resize it, use the print preview to see how your results will appear before printing, DONT just save the file either! It will overwrite the original! Use "save as" and give it a different file name, this way you can keep the original. After you have saved it, and you close the program, it will ask if you want to save changes, select no. A few practice runs and you will be a pro!

Easiest way is to put the picture into Word, that way you can see how big it will be on the page and resize it to fit.
Here are some step-by-step instructions on how to do this:
1) Load up Word, then go to the Insert menu.
2) Scroll down to Insert and then select "picture from file"
3) Find the photograph on your hard-drive* and then click OK
4) You can now see the photograph on screen. Go to the View Menu and choose Page Layout. Zoom out if necessary for a better look. Resize the picture how you see fit by clicking on the CORNERS of the picture (dont click on the side edges as you will stretch it, clicking on the corners will keep the same shape)
5) If you're happy with how it looks, click print.
Have fun!

if you are a novice at printing, then the easieset way would be to use a printing program that will print out your pictures in the sizes you specify. Here is the link for photoprinter 2.0
http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/Multimedia_and_Graphics/Graphics_Editors/PhotoPrinter.html
PhotoPrinter 2.0 is a free and easy-to-use printing utility that enables you to lay out your favorite images in multiple sizes on a single sheet of paper, quickly and effortlessly. PhotoPrinter templates offer a wide selection of printing dimensions, including Kodak Digital Science™ inkjet photo paper templates and Avery-brand paper products. You can use PhotoPrinter's image-editing tools to enhance your photos before printing; and you can also add frames, edges and other backgrounds to each image in the template.
resizing alone can be difficult especially if the dpi is too high.
if you are scanning this picture to print it, don't set the dpi any higher than 300. Use the photoprinter software to print your picture. You can print sizes from 8x10's all the way down to wallets. It's the simplest way to get the size you want.

See if you have Microsoft Picture Manager on your computer and open it with that program. It should have some advanced settings for printing it on one sheet.
Otherwise, you'll need to open the picture in a picture editor program and reduce the size that way. Also, your printer or digital camera may have come with software to handle the printing of pictures.

The Nikon D40 can use any Nikon lens ... to maintain the "equipment" fee ruin below $450, a non-VR lens is secure ... you are able to continually purchase the 18-fifty 5 mm VR instead of the generic one. the place did you examine that greater pixels reason greater shutter lag? it is preposterous. The 12.a million MB D3 has the backside shutter lag of any DSLR on the instant and has the quickest non-end capturing at 9-11 fps. purchase the D40 with a AF-S 18-fifty 5 mm ED VR lens (in spite of if looking on VR to decrease digicam stream isn't that mandatory. you are able to discover ways to hold the digicam stable using classic recommendations. VR is a clean characteristic which could improve low easy, handheld photos, yet no longer mandatory) Many get admission to point photographers have instructed me they love the D40/18-2 hundred mm VR mixture.
