What happens to my taxes/insurance if I withdraw from college for a semester?

Since I am withdrawing early but will be returning to a 4 year institution in the spring, does this mess up my taxes and insurance? Since I just get w's for grades, does it make it like I was never there in the first place, or am I still counted for it? Does it mess up my taxes and does it make me lose my medical insurance?

I never hear of college having anything to do with taxes and insurance in the first place so no it will not mess them up. ↔
