Planning a trip to Alaska next summer and wanted to know how the rode conditions are? what the weather was like in July and August? Any points of interest someone would recommend? In general just wanted to talk to someone who rode there and back to see what they had to say and any advice they might be willing to share. It would be much appreciated!

For many reasons, I would not recommend driving the Al-Can. I would put your bike on a Ferry in Washington or Prince Rupert. Camp on the back of the boat for a few days (it is quite lovely) and get off with your bike where ever it is you want to go. There are quite a lot of bikes out in the summer.

I think the website for the ferry is alaskamarinehwy.gov but I am not sure

Truthfully, July and August seem to be quite rainy. If I were planning the trip, I would recommend end of May or June.
