A famous pop singer. Not a teenie bopper that someone on here claims. She was well in her 20's during the 80s when she became famous. She's about 46 or so now. People are talking about her now since she has recently adopted a son from an African country. Malawi? NOt sure of the spelling. Sorry.

Her maiden name was Madonna Louise Ciccone, and she has grown up to be a popular entertainer and has become very wealthy thereby. She continues to be controversial because one of her means of achieving popularity among the young is to blatantly flaunt her sex and make conventionally outrageous comments with knumbing regularity. She recently "adopted" a small boy of another race, claiming initially the child was an orphan, though the boy's father has been found and has in fact stated that he was coerced, through the offer of cold, hard cash, into signing away his parental rights. A number of legal authorities question the legality of Madonna's behavior regarding the child, and a number of mental health professionals question the wisdom of taking the child away from his own country and culture. Madonna imperiously holds herself aloof from these legitimate concerns, as if money makes it okay to do whatever she d.a.m.n well pleases for the publicity and notoriety!

You seriously don't know who Madonna is? Anyway, she is a music icon and gained her popularity in the eighties. She's being talked much about now becasue she adopted a boy from Malawi. The British authorities think that she didn't pass through the legal procedures in gaining adoption for that Malawian boy named David.
