lets say a sample of clay suspeded in water is distilled. As the distillation proceeds, what happends to the weight of the clay??

does it increase?

does it decrease?

or like..does it just sit there and not change at all

The weight of the clay does not change, however it can expand and trap water, but the weight of the clay itself does not change.

MASS IS MASS BUT IT COULD CHANGE THE VOL. THE MORE
EXTRA PRODUCT(DIRT OR SAND) WOULD CHANGE THE VOL. iF IT DISTILLED JUST THE CLAY IT COULD VACCUUM OFF SOME OF THE MASS BUT YOU WERENT SPECIFIC IN TELLING ME WHAT TYPE OF CLAY WHAT MAS MINERAL ETC. SO i ANSWERED THE BEST W/ WHAT WAS GIVIN PURE LIMESTONE CAKE CLAY I WOULD SAY NO.
