I had a band sign my shirt, but the shirt stretched out. Will it fade if I wash it in cold water?

I have washed signed shirts (daughter's friends signed) in cold with mild detergent and the signatures stayed just fine. The cold wash should work fine if it was indeed permanent marker.
I have had marker that I have tried to remove before and it took several treatment rounds of hairspray, dish detergent & hot water to fade it, and often it never even comes out then. (It can often be removed from hard non-poreous surfaces with rubbing alcohol)

If the marker said permenant , then that is what it is. It usually will not fade. If it does, why not go over it with the marker again. Be sure to put something between the front and back - - so it won't bleed thru to orher side.

I've had shirts signed with a Sharpie and it has started to fade after several washings. It really is pretty permanant. You might want to hand wash it in the sink with Woolite to make it last longer.

Of course. Every kind of marker washes out, exept fabric markers.

Nah, it should be ok if it was permenant. In cold water, though I wouldn't wash it many times.

It's going to take many washes. I believe hot water will work
better for ink. Cold water is better for getting out protien stains.

Have you tried a tide pen yet? It erases everything out of your clothes. Check it out at the grocery market!

It should stay on. Test on a small area first.
