I love to travel and my husband and I promised that we would go to a new country every year. So far we've been to Mexico and Dominican Republic. We had a ball in both places. Can you suggest any other "warm weather" places to visit. We love the beach, blue water and white sand.
Thanks

Barbados is a beautiful and clean island. Hubby and I found it a little too strict in some respects though. I have only done day trips to this island while on various cruises. There's lots to see like grand plantations houses, military places and Parliament. The capital city Bridgetown has lots of landmarks to see. If you are both nature lovers why not check out the powdery sand beaches. Crane Beach has cliffs, dunes, pink sand and beautiful water. There's Welchman Hall Gully, a national park that has some lovely nature trails. How about Harrison's Cave (bring a sweater, it's cool down there).

Nightlife with the beat of the Caribbean steel bands is fun.

Shopping is fun but I personally never found any great bargains.

If you eat the local food have a taste of flying fish.

My favourite island more than Barbados is St. Martin. It's relaxed atmosphere and friendly people with a French and Dutch side was a real treat!

I was in Barbados a few years ago in December. It's really beautiful. I got a little snorkeling (and a lot of rum!) before it rained. The water is so clear, the beaches are beautiful, but just try to stay away from the rainy season.
