Friend, this is the dichotomy today. It is BECAUSE of the religious teachings that we are not able to act judiciously.

There was a time when religion and spirituality went hand in hand. Spirituality is an individual`s prerogative and religion is a group`s prerogative. when the y combined the world was a better place to live. Now both are wide apart.

There are spiritual leaders who have transcended religion. Sataysai baba , SriSri Ravishankar of India, Dalai Lama of Tibet, , many many such eminent persons from around the world. They have left religion to the religious jeolets. The world is converting to spiritual teachings and then the people will act judiciously.

There is HOPE.

Acting judiciously and acting according to religious teachings are not the same thing. Following all religious teachings may not be always practicable either, specially with the changing times. While most religions teach us to lead a pious and virtuous life, we can not stick to all of them for practical reasons, though it should be our endeavour to follow them as faithfully as possible. Wherever and whenever we are forced to deviate from the path of righteousness, we must act judicially for which we have to possess a rational and alert mind free from prejudices. Such a mind stands in good stead in our life even if we are ignorant about religious teachings.

Your question assumes that religious teachings are judicious, which isn't always true. There is also room for interpretation, and people tend to interpret things as they see fit.

I think we have to understand first by being judicious.

Do you think that our judgment is wise?

I think our decisions comes from our knowledge that is divisive.

To be wise is not to be anchored to divisive knowledge.

Our decisions come from our free will that is always subjective.(not wholly).

To act judiciously is to dissolve all the false reality to arrive to what is true.

The most judicious act we can commit is to keep our religion private. Therein lies your answer.

we can.
it tells you not to in the Bible, (elsewhere i can only assume),
but that's kind of the point- you can do what you want to, even if it goes against what someone asks you to.
