Ia m thinking of changing my major I am at the end of my junior year with 32 credit hours left to be earned . I am a sociology major and thinking of changing to family and consumer sciences program. Soc is boring me and I am seriously failing in it. FCS is my life, I am a mini martha stewart , and a single parent of three so I know much about managing a family, budget and home. If I stick with soc I am planning on applying to grad school for family and consumer sciences should I switch now, or just wait for grad school to pursue this major. I ultimatley want to end up doing something work related for women and children services in a health care setting .

Well, I don't know how graduate school works where you plan on attending, but I have been advised to keep my GPA above a 3.5 to get into a decent graduate program. I think that whatever you choose you need to get your grades up or you are wasting your time either way.

32 credit hours is a piece of cake. Finish your current program is my oppinion going to be... But I assume you will be able to do it at least in one year. If you think otherwise, change it now.

Yeah....there is a whole bunch of high paying jobs for graduates with sociology as their major. Uh huh...you could sell burgers, work in a department store, spend time looking for a job...

If you are failing it, then yeah, try something else. That's what I did when I didn't like Computer Engineering, so I went to Computer System. I passed with flying colours!!
