Does anyone know where I can order a free sample packet (or low-cost) or informational packet with products to discuss puberty and periods and such with my daughter?

Yep, the Playtex people have a website that you can register for and get product samples and information to talk with your daughter. There is also a book called "What's Happening to Me? that's available through Amazon.com -- it's an easy-to-read guide to puberty for boys & girls.
