Check out the Land Registry (www.landreg.gov.uk), they will be able to tell you the boundaries of the property plus details of how much it cost and basic info on deeds and covenants that may affect what you can and can't do with the land. It is also worth getting in touch with your local planning authority who may be able to sort out copies of historical maps for you.
Good luck!

There are a lot of sites on the internet for researching the history of your house, which will be most useful to you depends on where you live and the age of your house.
Try this one for starters - http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/househistory/

Alot of county's are starting to post all kinds of records on the Internet, try bringing up your county. Other than that you need to go to the court house to find the records.

Most likely not- but you can find that data at your City or County Clerk, or Register of Deeds, its called an Abstract, in USA - and we got all that from you.
