You can use the division method or tree method.

DIVISION METHOD:
63 ... not divisible by 2, switch to 3
63 / 3 = 21
21 / 3 = 7
7 ... is prime so divide by itself and be done.
7 / 7 = 1

So the prime factors are 3 x 3 x 7

TREE METHOD:

../ . \
3 ...21
...../ . \
