Could be something wrong with your water. What detergent are you using? Are you following the directions for amount and are you washing the clothes on the correct temperature? I hope you're not washing on Cold everytime.
Also, make sure you are not overloading the washer. Don't jam pack everything in there.

Well, I see you are giving everyone a thumbs down! Why do you ask if you don't want the suggestions????

If it is the water, you can use fabric softener, baking soda, different detergent, and hydrogen peroxide-

But you don't want to cover up an issue either...

Once a month or so, pour in 2 c. of white vinegar and run through a complete hot water wash cycle (with no clothes in it). This will clean out any residual dyes, dirt, etc.

Clean out any lint, dirt, soap scum, etc under lid and inside washer rim with a cleaning cloth or sponge & equal parts white vinegar and water.

Remove any dispensers and scrub with a cleaning brush or old toothbrush and the vinegar water solution. Rinse with warm water and replace in washer.

Clean out dryer lint between every load.
Annually deep clean your dryer:
Vacuum or use lint brush to clean lint trap and remove accumulated lint. Unplug dryer and disconnect the duct from dryer and vacuum out with hose attachment then replace.
Make sure outside exhaust hood is clean (use a mirror to look inside if it is low)
A service technician should thoroughly clean the dryer every 3 yrs or so.

I know this is a lot of work, I would try cleaning the washing machine first and see if that helps.

Assuming the Sears guy is correct and with a new Washer he probably is, the problem is with your Water- even if you use cheap detergent it would not stink- unless you are leaving the clothes in the Washer for days- You probably have very hard Water, try using Calgon- and wash a small load- see how it works, it good results , think Water Softner, -

What kind of water do you have? City water or well water? Sounds like well water. Or your putting to many cloths in at once. If it's well water you need a special system put in. Try oxi clean or white vinegar in the wash. For whites try a little bleach. Fabric sheets in the dryer and throw one in each of the clothing draws keeps things smelling fresh.

Are you using the correct detergent in the correct proportions?
You want to run a wash cycle with some kind of Rinse aid to freshen the drum and workings!
If this fails and it continues, then maybe something is stuck in from the production that is causing the cloths to smell!?

Sounds like it could be your water.Do you have good drinking water in your city/town? Are there a lot of impurities? Try a little white vinegar in each load. This helps to not only brighten your wash, but will help with the smell. We have terrible water where I live in TX, and I always use the vinegar, and good smelling fabric softener sheets in my dryer.I hope this helps!

Be sure to properly set the load size. You might be putting in a lot of clothes, but have it set to a small load size, so that not enough water is going in, which would mean that they dont get properly washed or rinsed!

Do you leave them in the washer for too long after the cycle is complete? It could be mildew. Also, are you using detergent? If you are in a particularly rural area, it could be the water. I had a friend whose water was constantly tainted by the manure from the waelth of cow pastures in the region.

You might be putting in too many clothes at a time. They have to be able to float a little so the water and soap can get to every piece, and so the dirt can wash away.
