I just want to know if the film is really good or really bad or if only certain parts are either. You know, an overall rating. And not just yes it was good or no it was bad but....WHY?

Also: Please do NOT respond if you have NOT seen this movie.

First of all THANK YOU SO MUCH for the responses I've gotten so far....well, at least from those of you who know how to actually read and follow directions.

To the other two (so far)...Yeah, I'm glad you're going to go see it. Good for you. Just as soon as I can, I am SO there. But I asked ONLY people who had SEEN the movie to respond.

By the way, if any of you are interested in learning more about Marie Antoinette then I suggest you check out "Marie Antoinette: The Journey" by Antonia Fraser.

I'm currently re-reading it and I'm just amazed, not to mention overwhelmed at the life that this woman led. She was so young when she came to France and although her time there, as well as her life was so brief...she left such an impression on all those who knew her. Wow.

I loved the movie. It was astheticly beautiful and very interesting. It was kinda strange that modern music was involved, but I think that saved the movie from boring classical music. I didn't know much about Marie Antoinette historically, except the ovbious, but I enjoyed learning about her life and what it's like to be Queen. Also, it was filmed at Versailles, which is pretty georgeous itself.
