When i was about 7 yrs old or more back in the early sixties there was a puppet like tv show on every Sunday morning (USA) called "DAVEY & GOLLIATH"? I used to watch it every sunday before church(i think it came on about 6:30am or 7:00am. Plus remember "GUMBEY & POKEY?????????? Let me bring you all back in time...........................................

you still can watch Davey and Goliath on TBN on Saturday Mornings they were claymation figures. I watched it with my brother when he was little and I sometimes still watch every once in a while. I also watched Gumby and Pokey and my brother had little bendable figures of them.

I remember watching Davey and Goliath when I was young. I don't remember Gumbey & Pokey tho. Anyone remember Tom Terrific off Captain Kangaroo, or the good Captain even?

Yes I do, Daaaaaavy. Gumby and Pokey were much better.

although not born til 68, they were still showing reruns of this when i was a kid in the 70s. i liked goliath's voice- hey daaaavy. i have caught a minute or 2 there as an adult. its actually not as religious as i thought it was as a kid, more just common sense morality-be nice to people, dont lie etc. the claymation has a cool retro feel to it

I remember both ('68). Gumby creeped me out. Not as much as those damn winged monkeys on the "Wizard of Oz" though.

Ah, old school Claymation at it's best. I never got into it as a kid *not from a religious family* but Gumby and the Blockheads..that's another story :)
