Many progs find viruses and spyware that isn't there to make you buy their product spyware doctor has this reputation.

Spyware is not a virus it is spyware, advertising software that is annoying & can re-direct or look at what you do on your p.c.

Download the following programs, they are free but are recommended by most computer businesses as being the best. I have used them for years and never had any problems at all with my p.c

spybot s&d
ad-aware
ccleaner

Download these programs:

Spybot: Search and Destroy - install, run and update and run a scan.
SpywareBlaster - install, update, and run updates every once in a while to keep it protecting your computer
Windows Defender - similar to Spybot. It is always good to have more than one spyware scanner, as different programs catch different things.

All of those apps are free.

Also, the best way to scan is to first boot Windows in Safe Mode (keep hitting F8 before the Windows loading screen pops up).
