Dear Sunshine: The fires of Autumn have always set ME ablaze. The capriciousness of the season! A playfulness that skims the trees when whipped by sudden bursts of breeze. Autumn has a scarlet smile while melancholy streaks her eye. Autumn skips, whirls and dares me.
I feel the thinness cool the air. And, of course, the unspeakable beauty fiddling its passions into your soul.
I open my window and see all the orange-red, gold-brown leaves reaching to come in. I'm submerged under their sensuousness, made "wobbly" by their passion. I drown in them, utterly gasping for their sight. Intelligence asks what lies inside them? What cellular thought exists - that contains their desire to melt themselves into flaming liquids of variant golds? There's a thought contained in every leaf, and of that I yearn to know.
Love, Lana

I like taking a jog or a hike in Autumn. There's the colors of the foliage to see. The rustling of leaves beneath my feet. The smells. And, the crisp, cool air.

The rich colors of the changing leaves definitely is a visual enjoyment. Being able to snuggle up with hubby at night without the AC on is another plus.

Well, i live in a desert so autumn is my favorite time of year because that is when we start to get cool breezes and clouds in the sky. (Can you believe? we dont get clouds in the summer!) If i lived somewhere else, i would have to say that it was the leaves changing color.

The smell of crisp cold air and in my neighborhood the firewood burning and the leaves
Autumn is my favorite season for many reason but when I moved to the desert for seven years the thing I missed the most was the smell.

I love the leaves changing and being able to wear sweatshirts. Making leave piles for my grandson to jump in is the greatest feeling !!!! I used to do this with my kids...but its just different with my grandson. Playing outside with him and our dogs, seeing the colored leaves fall from the trees and taking walks down our road (we live in the country). The air is crisp and you smell people with their fireplaces burning..it's just a great time.

Halloween, layering my clothes (I feel so much more stylish with a jacket, boots and a colorful scarf, than flip flops and shorts)
And comfort food: mash potatoes, warm chocolate pudding!
Hmmmm....
There are so many pros's that make the cold months bearable.
