To the questioner. you cannot win this war as winnig has never been defined. without a definition, you cannot find a way to prove victory.
To those saying ALL OF THEM! well, terrorism is a feature of humanity and it's cause is massive injustice and barbaric cruelty. Like having a foreign nation invade and murder your family based on a lie. let me ask all these people, if a foreign state lied about your country and invaded America and murderd an equivalent proportion of your population (that would equate to about 10 million people) and had death squads, rapists, kidnappers roming loose on your land, creating a civil war in YOUR nation, all based on a lie? WHEN WOULD YOU STOP FIGHTING?
As terrorism is a symptom of humanity's inhumanity to humanity and is therfore a symptom of humanity itself, you are advocating eradicating humanity from the face of the earth. You are advocating your own death.
Why do you want to die?

There is no way to win a war against the followers of any specific religion. The only person to seriously try within the last 100 years killed 6 million jews and still lost. Many battles of the crusades were won by Christians and then lost to Muslims.
At various times in history, Protestants have tried to wipe out Catholics and vice-versa.
George Bush has not read any history and even ignores the lessons of Vietnam, and he lived through that fray--hiding in a National Guard that was never deployed because there was a draft.

Actually, I have been insisting on setting a price for quite some time now.
I think,
Equation 1----------------
1 American life = 7 Muslim Men ( 4 fanatics + 3 normal) shot dead + 3 Muslim women raped and then murdered + 2 muslim children ( Out of 2, one must be son of a islamofascist's son)shot dead + 1 muslim man crippled +1 muslim man tortured to death.
Equation 2-------------------
9/11 = Roughly 3000 American lives.
So Multiply the Equation (1) given above by 3000 on both sides.
Once we reach that mark, America should withdraw from the war. Afterall, isn't killing sufficient number of enemies is what all wars are all about anyways?

Paul, we will never kill enough of them to win the war on terror. With George Bush ill advised war in Iraq we have actually created more terrorist then there was. What is needed is to build a strong national defense and stay our of over seas wars as they cost to much in human life and in monetary considerations. 10 billion a month is going to Iraq. If the same amount was spent here at home in securing our borders and our ports and chemical and nuclear facility's we would stand a better chance of never being attacked again.

How many innocent men, women and children will the Islamic radicals have to murder before their threats and demands finally wake you up?
For the future health and safety of your family and loved ones, you had better hope we "win" this war.

Unfortunately we would have to kill them all. Not just the leaders, but all of them to include anyone who might come to be a terrorist in the future. As you can see, it is impossible to stamp out terrorism. It is quite a problem for everyone. I believe the best we can do is remain watchful, careful and proactive where appropriate. We will never do away with it. It is here to stay I'm afraid.

In the war America is fighting, ( not just a war for Bush) but both parties passed the ruling to start the war. And both parties continue to finance the war.
Next you will never win it completely but you will keep them so weakened that they are not as large of threat for us.
But as long as one man is willing to blow thierself up the war will never be over. But to crush the enemy to the point they seldom wish to do it.

I don't think it will matter how many people die in this war we have already lost because we should of not went to Iraq in the first place. We will win when Bush is out of office and we have a new president.

It's a never-ending war, just like the war on drugs. Mow down one poppy field and you will have two more pop up.
So when you give contracts to your friend's companies (Halyburton, et. al.) to help in such a war you have essentially given them a lucrative lifetime contract.

All of them, or until they stop.
but they wont.
i know this..I have studied the Islamic Fundamentalist mind, you cannot negociate with them, they do so only to buy time to set up for the next attack.
You cannot reason with them.
Their ideology teaches them that any nation not isalm is to be destroyed if they do not convert to Islam
