Both are wrong.... why should you have to choose either of these evils??? One is harmful to the definition of what marriage truly is, and makes a mockery out of that definition. The other destroys an existing marriage. Both are as harmful as it gets to the institution of marriage.

LOL. I can't believe there are still so many misinformed liberals out there. Its like a bunch of parrots simply repeating what the first one said, whether its right or wrong. I guess if you get enough people to repeat something then its true. There is no such thing as a separation between church and state. Just because you heard it a million times doesn't make it true. Get an education.
The reason people want to ban gay marriage is simple. Because they want to! Thats it, end of argument. What you will notice about liberals is how much they love this country and our form of government, but only when it suits their adgenda. How many referendums need to be put on the ballot for gay and lesbian groups to realize, even in liberal states like California, the people say NO TO GAY MARRIAGE! Usually thats it. But now liberals are taking the issue to court hope that some unelected liberal judge somewhere will overturn the peoples wishes and TELL us how we want to think.
We voted no in several states, can we please put this issue to rest. Even liberals don't want it. Republicans and conservatives are fine with that. If you don't believe us then lets have the people vote on it again. You know what the outcome will be? NO again! The average american just wants to live in the suburbs, drive our SUV's, raise our kids in safety and peace, and attend a bbq now and again. Stop forcing us to change our lifestyle because it is making somebody somewhere feel bad. Case in point: NYC just passed a law allowing transgender males access to womens restrooms. That means any guy with a dress on can hang out and watch my little girl in the restroom and when I call the cops to arrest him he can say is transgender and has a right to be there. I understand the liberal mind and you don't want to make cross dressers feel bad about having to use male restrooms. TOO BAD!!! Don't you see that when you try to make a small group feel good you end up tearing down society and hurting the majority of people. If there is an issue, put it on the ballot, let the people decide and leave it at that.

It still stuns me when I read about people who want to deny gay people the right to marriage. You want to deny them marriage in your own church? Fine. Who cares.
However, there is a separation of church and state that needs to be preserved, despite the current administrations best efforts to convert everyone in America into the Christian ideology. Would the Christians enjoy the melding of church and state if the religion was Muslim? To many Non-Christians, the melding is no different. There should be a freedom of religious tiernany, and deny gay marriage is form of tierany and discrimination.
Why would any sane person want to deny two people who love each other a method of monogomy? What possible argument could anyone have for denying marriage to two people who love each other? It's unbelievable insane. It's all based on religious beliefs, which is sad, because religion in this country has caused nothing but division, hatred, and denying of human rights. I thought religion was supposed to be positive. It is, but only for the people within the same religion. If you're not in, you're out.

There are sins that are common to man, where God shows more mercy.
But homosexuality is a mockery of God, and will be answered by God with a curse. 9-11 was the beginning of the USA's decline. The nation doesn't get it. The USA, and world, doesn't see. There is a God and He is Almighty. 9-11 could only have happened by the Lord's decree against the nation. People of faith know that it is very important to withstand gay marriage....or the entire land will be judged.

Gays are not threatening marriage. What with the divorce rate in this country, the institution of marriage was already in shambles long before gays wanted the right to marry.

this 40% is now over 50%,, the reason that states are approveing the gay marriage ,,, is that it opens up a whole new area of income for attorneys ,,, when divorces are filed ,,, ha ha

Aren't you making the assumption that married gays would not commit adultery?

Adultery, lying, and going deadbeat on kids is far more harmful than two people of the same sex raising a loving family
