WEST GERMANY won the 1990 FIFA World Cup. the tournament was staged in ITALY & 24 teams participate in the finals. WEST GERMANY beat ARGENTINA 1-0 in the final which also saw the first player sent-off in the history of the World Cup final. Franz Beckhanbauer was the first person to win the World Cup as a player & also the manager.
