I know better singers and music. Why is she so popular ?

I haven't cared about Madonna in years. I used to at least like her music, but that ended in the early to mid 90s. But I do admit, I resent her (and people like Angelina Jolie) for being able to go pick out a baby whenever she wants simply because she can. Meanwhile, a lot of us middle class Americans who want to adopt a child can't do so because of red-tape, government beauracracy, and lacking a few million dollars. I don't just "not care" about Madonna, I'm sickened by her.

yes u "Im". No she's not a goddess but u gotta respect ANYONE who can stick it out and be successful as long as Madonna has in the American AND International music industries.

She is popular because she has set trends and constantly re-invents herself. She does a great job of generating her own publicity.
She lives in London because she married an Englishman.
I don't really like her music, but I admire her business acumen.

No, Madonna is a dirty skank...nobody cares about her, she is old news. There are other news worthy stories out there. She had good music, or even great music, but there comes a time when we got to, move on.

Lives in England because her husband's business is located there, I think. No, you are not alone. I just don't care about her. She does not seem relevant, or current, just pretentious. I can't recall hearing a song of hers on the radio in years, so I don't know who buys her CD's. She still sells, I just don't know to whom. You've made me curious as well.

Here husband is English so that is one of the reasons they live there. What is with the accent though?? That's ridiculous. Madonna...you're from Michigan!

I don't care about Madonna either. I don't care what her opinions are, I don't want to see her on the morning news shows. I don't know why she is shoved down our throats all the time.
