Well honestly because I am a leftie usually when I hear the word tradition the first thing that I think of is the word "conservative". Due to my liberal stance on most things the word tradition in my opinion carries negative connotations. Usually people use the word tradition to discourage one from changing or disrupting the "normal" progression of things.

Christmas time with my family. Since I've grown up and started my own family, it has been hard to let go of that old tradition I knew for so long, but I am slowly creating a new one :)
